We have just come back from a fantastic trip to the Medes islands in the Mediterranean off the coast of Catalonia in Spain. We were a group of 13 all qualified divers from all over the country including Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Porthcawl, Bath and even Newquay cornwall.
We head off to the shores of the Medes island a nature reserve on the outskirts of L'Estartit, the weather was a little damp when we first turned up but soon cleared to be blazing hot. We were staying in our own houses set together in the town.
All the divers were PADI Open Water Qualified or above for the tour with Instructors and Divemasters as well. The diving on the islands are truly amazing and we have now been asked to consult on the protection of the area.
This weekend we are instructing a group from Wolverhampton in the west midlands who are completeing their PADI Open Water Referral Diver Course to go on their expedition.
