The sea state should be smoother even for experienced divers. Conditions are looking suitable for the next few days and unsafe in some regions. Sites close to Cardiff, Swansea, Carmarthen will all have the harder conditions and limited visibility and the West Wales sites such as Martins Haven and Site Brides bay the better conditions and visibility all round. Scuba Diving Wales, South Wales, Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, West Wales 16th December 2020 - Stormy seas and high winds with big swells all meaning very bad diving conditions the next few days. Winds are mainly onshore Southerlies and causing volatile conditions throughout the region for days. Visibility will be extremely low and all around conditions unsuitable. There may be a chance to dive on the North facing beaches of Martins Haven, St Brides bay in West Wales but need to keep a constant eye on the conditions. The government lockdown policies are now changing daily and there are new restrictions on several sites, please follow the government legislation and restrictions for the day.
PADI and SSI Open Water Diver courses in Cardiff, Swansea, Newport and South Wales 16th December 2020 - The PADI and SSI diving programmes are now under government restrictions with our next training pool session on 20th March 2021. We are elated to get our students back in the water scuba diving and are planning to run our full diving programme from the pool session on 20th March 2021 onwards. As always the theoretical sections of the course can all be completed online prior to the pool session training. We will then be offering the full Open water training programme from 10th October onwards

We have just returned from a fantastic weekend of diving with two groups completing the PADI Open Water Diver Course and The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course.
The PADI Open Water Diver Course was instructed by Ray and Stewart and was completed by Sara, Simone from Cardiff and Gavin and Nia from Swansea, the course was completed on the Saturday and Sunday, all the group had completed their paperwork and confined water training and were ready for the 4 Open Water Scuba Dives, the students from across South Wales completed skills such as mask clearing, equipment assembly and buoyancy to be able to be come a competent diver up to 18 meters.
The Advanced Open Water Weekend was conducted by Daniel Lewis and Lee Garbett both PADI Open Water Instructors and the students were Phil from Swansea, Luke from St Athans, Sam from Swansea and Jarrod From Cardiff. The lads had to complete 5 Open Water Scuba Dives to certify for the course including Navigation, Deep, Peak Performance buoyancy, Naturalist and wreck dives. All four lads completed the course with flying colours and are now able to dive anywhere in the world up to 30 meters.
So well done to everyone and we will be running our next PADI Open Water Referral Diver course on the 6th September in Hebron hall in Cardiff.
