Scuba Diving Wales, South Wales, Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Carmarthenshire 20th May 2020 - The winds have changed to South Westerly and Westerly directions and the swell has increased on Westerly and Southerly Beaches. The new winds and swells will cause adverse conditions on many coastal areas on the South Wales coast especially on the weekend with 30 mph Westerly winds and up to 12 foot swells. The protected beaches will have the better conditions such as martins Haven in West Wales and St Brides in the same area. Coastal areas facing West and South such as stackpole quay will have harder diving conditions. This may be easing on Monday and Tuesday next week.

PADI and SSI Open Water Diver courses in Cardiff, Swansea, Newport and South Wales - All our PADI and SSI courses are being run remotely at the moment due to the social distancing policy. Both SSI and PADI Open Water diver courses are run online which is completed prior to the practical pool training session.

Swell 12 Foot / Sunday 24th Wind 24W . Swell 7 Foot / Monday 25th May Wind 5W . Swell 6 Foot / Tuesday 26th May Wind 8W . Swell 5 Foot / Wednesday 27th May Wind 18NW . Swell 4 Foot . Mainly Southerly and Westerly winds this week with bigger swells. Gale force winds possible on the weekend.

RAINFALL - No rain fall for the next few days again, dry weather for the foreseeable time.
SEA STATE and SWELL - The wind has now returned to its usual West and South Westerly direction and the swell has increased especially on the weekend. The seas will be rougher on the weekend with big swells and high winds. The winds will be dropping at the beginning of next week giving calmer sea inshore conditions.
