Scuba Diving Conditions Report for South Wales, Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Llanelli , Camarthen regions

SITE LOCATION – Sker Beach, Limeslade Bay, langland Bay, Oxwich Bay, Stackpole Quay

WEATHER –  Mixed weather dry most of the week but heavy rain on Saturday morning also very strong winds Saturday and Wednesday.  ( (


WIND – High winds coming in for Saturday and Wednesday predicted at the moment, upto 35mph on Saturday and 30mph on Wednesday. The rest of the week is also varied with gusting winds up to 20 mph.  (

SEA STATE AND SWELL – Wind direction will pay a key part in the sea state as there may be Easterly winds on Saturday and low swell which will be good for for the sea state on the Southern and Western facing shorelines. Choppy stormy seas as winds change to westerlies in the week. (

Poor sea conditions through into next week, possibility of diveable conditions on Saturday as the wind is high but offshore and the swell is low, however visibility will be low as the swell and winds have been high.

We are running the PADI Open Water Diver course on Saturday at Hebron Hall in Dinas Powys in Cardiff, there are students from all over South Wales including Cardiff, swansea, Newport, Bridgend and Porthcawl.
