Scuba Diving Wales, South Wales, Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, West Wales 24th May 2021- Scuba diving conditions in South Wales and into West Wales are not the best at the moment. There has been constant wind and swells through out the regions especially close to Cardiff and Swansea. The weather is changing the next few days with periods of calm but always swells . The weekend and Thursday may see a break in the conditions but the visibility would be affected. The better areas and most protected will be in West Wales regions in St Brides bay, Martins Haven areas. The areas on the North facing beaches will see the better conditions in the protected areas. High winds, big swells, strong currents, big rip currents all bad for diving on sites close to Cardiff, Swansea, Llanelli, Tenby and around the coastline.
