Scuba Diving Wales, South Wales, Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, West Wales 18th August 2021- Scuba diving conditions are looking fair for the next few days with off shore winds and general sea swells. The sea state should be manageable for experienced divers and looking better on Tuesday as the swell drops to low and the winds are predominantly off shore across the South wales region. Sites close to Cardiff, Swansea, Camarthen will all have the harder conditions and limited visibility and the West Wales sites such as Martins Haven and Site Brides bay the better conditions and visibility all round. The swell is due to pick up by the end of the week and may cause more turbulent diving conditions in the region.

Huge swell, massive surf, gale force winds all resulting in very rough sea conditions and very poor Scuba Diving conditions in the South wales area. The definite best option would be to go inland and dive in the calmer waters of inland sites. We are also teaching the PADI Open water Diver course in our local area. SCUBA DIVING WALES, SOUTH WALES CARDIFF, SWANSEA, LLANELLI, CARMARTHENSHIRE - Conditions are not great for Scuba Diving for the next few days especially from the exposed beaches and areas. High winds and big swells are creating unsuitable conditions for Scuba Diving in all regions covering Cardiff, Porthcawl, Swansea and to Stackpole Quay. The only possibility may be in the West of Wales which will have more offshore winds in certain areas. Visibility will be low due to the sea conditions so all round not looking as good as the previous settled weeks of diving.

PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver courses - The PADI certification system is the ticket into Scuba Diving anywhere in the world. Starting with the PADI Open Water Diver course allowing the diver to dive with a buddy up to 18 meters anywhere worldwide. We have recently completed the PADI Open Water Diver course with three students Rosalind, Matthew and Adam. They are now qualified to dive globally and hopefully progress the experience knowledge and understanding.

SCUBA DIVING WALES, SOUTH WALES CARDIFF, SWANSEA, LLANELLI, CARMARTHENSHIRE - Scuba diving conditions are looking excellent this week with good weather, low swells, light winds and good tides. The visibility accross the South Wale region should be between 1 - 5 meters and very good in parts of the country such as Stackpole Quay. Swansea and even down to Sker point should get good diving conditions on the incoming tides. As always need to monitor the water movement including rip currents, currents, tides, wind, swell etc.

PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver courses - Even though conditions are looking favourable this week all levels are diver must take the upmost precaution when diving on the South Wales coastline. A good level to start is the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and progressing to the PADI Rescue Diver, both of which anable the diver to protect themselves, their buddy and the environment far better than the more basic levels such as the PADI Open Water Diver. Experience, control and supervision are quay to diving in the coastal waters of the UK.
